This kit includes everything you need to replace the parts and comes with the bearings already pressed into the plastic adapter. By offering it as a complete kit, it saves you the trouble of trying to save the original related parts when removing them.
Through the years, GM used either metal bearings or a rubber-like seal that attached on each side of the plastic adapter. For example, a rubber-like two-piece seal were on 1984-1987 Regal and G-Body cars. The metal bearings were on Corvettes and then on other GM cars in the early ’90’s.
